Fractional Eyelift Before and After

With fractional laser resurfacing, the laser beam is broken into microscopic columns of laser light. These columns of laser light take away (or ablate) old, damaged collagen and elastic fibers so that new fresh tissue can grow into these channels. As this occurs, wrinkles and pigmentation are removed, skin tightens and the eyelids are rejuvenated. A recent study in over 300 patients showed consistent and very impressive results.

What is the Fractional Eye Lift?
The Fractional Eye Lift is a new type of laser eyelift. It utilizes an innovative fractional CO2 laser which creates tiny microscopic channels in the tissue so that new collagen can grow in to rejuvenate the skin.

What does the Fractional Eye Lift do?
It dramatically reduces the appearance of dark rings and wrinkles while tightening eyelid skin and elevating drooping eyebrows.

How does the Fractional Eye Lift work?
It works by utilizing a new fractional CO2 laser technology. Laser beam-like columns are created in the skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. Because only a "fraction" of the skin is affected, healing is very quick and virtually painless. How do I know if I'm a candidate?

Do you have to be a certain age?
Age is not an issue. It depends on the changes around the eyes.

Will the laser work on darker skin?
In most cases, it works very well on darker skin. However, to be on the safe side, we do a test spot in the eyelid area first to be sure there is no change in pigmentation.

Do I have to stay out of the sun prior to laser treatment?
No, but we prefer limited sun exposure2 weeks prior to the treatment. We recommend that you wear a sunscreen after the Fractional Eye Lift as is the case after any laser treatment.

How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions depends on the individual changes present. On average, most people need between 3-5 sessions.

How long in between each treatment?
We usually space sessions at 2-3 week intervals

How many days of downtime?
Most people are a little red and puffy for a day or two. However, one can apply make-up right after the treatment to hide redness.

How long will the results last?
As new collagen is produced, we expect the results to last for at least several years. But as the technology is so new, it is difficult to be sure at this point.

Are there any other treatments and/or injectables I should be using to prolong my results (such as Botox)?
Botox can be injected after the Fractional Eye Lift to help prolong the results.  We also recommend the use of a medical grade eye cream to maintain and enhance the results.
