What is Brow and Lash Tinting?
Brow and Lash Tinting safely adds color
to eyebrows and eyelashes, creating the illusion of thickness and dimension.
How does the treatment work?
Both procedures for the eyebrows
and eyelashes are similar. The technician cleans the brows or lashes and
vaseline is applied to the treated areas. Tint is applied, and the excess is
removed with a cosmetic pad.
Are there any possible side
effects?
Tint usually does not cause any side effects.
Will
there be any downtime?
There is no downtime; clients can immediately
resume normal activities and wear makeup.
What are the benefits of
Brow and Lash Tinting?
Brow and Lash Tinting enhances the general
appearance of the eyes. It is great for people with fine eyebrows, sensitivity
to makeup or no time to apply makeup daily.
What are the
results?
Clients can expect full, lush brows and lashes with added volume
and dimension.
How long do Brow and Lash Tinting treatments
last?
Brow and Lash tinting usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Who should avoid Brow and Lash Tinting?
Those who are allergic
to hair dye, easily irritated by color additives or have an active eye infection
should avoid Brow and Lash Tinting.
What are the alternative
treatments?
Eyebrow pencils and mascara are alternative treatments to
tinting.
Is additional treatment necessary?
Yes. Results are
not permanent so additional treatments every four to six weeks are necessary to
maintain results.
Instructions for before treatment:
Clients
are advised not to tweeze or wax brows before the treatment and to remove their
contacts before eye lash tinting.
Luscious Lash Perm
Now you can enjoy the look of long, luscious
lashes without the hassle of eye-pinching curlers.
First, perm glue is
applied at the base of your lashes. Next, your lashes are carefully placed on a
roller, dabbed with perm lotion, and allowed to set. It’s that simple-perfect
curls, every time.
Plus, aloe and other nourishing ingredients in the
perming products prevent lashes from becoming dry or brittle, keeping them
luxuriant for weeks. This procedure is done by our medical aesthetician.
What are Semi-Permanent Lash
Extensions?
Semi-Permanent Lash Extensions are individual, synthetic
eyelashes that are directly attached to the natural eyelash with a bonding
agent. The lash extensions provide thicker, longer and natural-looking
eyelashes.
How long do Semi-Permanent Lash Extensions
last?
The extensions generally last about four to six weeks;
however, they can last up to three months. The client’s eyelash characteristics,
lifestyle and general care for their new lashes affect how long they will last.
How to care for your Lash Extensions:
Do not wash eyes or shower for twenty-four hours after the procedure
Do not swim for 48 hours after the procedure
Avoid rubbing your eyes
Avoid oil-based and waterproof mascara
Remove mascara with water-based eye makeup remover
What are
Permanent Cosmetics?
Permanent Cosmetics are a state-of-the-art form
of cosmetic tattooing in which an organic pigment is embedded beneath the skin
to add permanent color.
What types of Permanent Cosmetics
procedures can be done?
There are Permanent Cosmetic procedures for
eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner, full lip color, scar camouflage, feature
reconstruction, areola restoration or repigmentation, hair imitation, skin
grafts, cleft palate, cleft lip and beauty marks.
Who are
candidates for Permanent Cosmetics?
Everyone who desires a natural
enhancement to their appearance is a good candidate for Permanent Cosmetics.
Some choose Permanent Cosmetics to reduce signs of damage due to surgery,
injury, hair loss, chemotherapy and vitiligo. Others cannot apply cosmetics due
to allergies, sensitive skin, poor vision or motor impairment. Permanent
Cosmetics are also ideal for the physically active, those with hectic schedules
and those who simply want to look their best at all times.
How
many treatments are required?
After the original appointment, there
can be a retouch visit to adjust color or shape that may be disliked or
partially finished. It is common for tattoos to fade or change over time.
Are Permanent Cosmetics safe?
Permanent Cosmetics
are safe, and allergic reactions to Permanent Cosmetics are extremely rare.
Technicians do skin testing either routinely or upon request before treatment.
Will there be any downtime?
There may be some
swelling and bruising of the face that will last up to a week; however, you
should be able to return to daily activities immediately.
What
are the benefits of Permanent Cosmetics?
Eyebrows can be recreated
using fine lines to simulate real hair, lips can be highlighted to enhance their
fullness and blemishes and scars can be camouflaged. Permanent Cosmetics can
also be a time saver because the application time of regular makeup is
eliminated.
What can be expected
post-treatment?
After treatment, swelling and bruising should be
expected. A touch-up session may be necessary to obtain the full effect desired.
How long do Permanent Cosmetics last?
The procedure
is permanent; however, time may fade the tattoo. Depending on how the area is
cared for and the growth and changes of the body, some maintenance sessions may
be required to retain the original results.
How does the
treatment feel?
Treatment is slightly painful and has some
discomfort. The level of discomfort is dependent on a person’s pain tolerance
and whether the technician provides an anesthetic cream or injection.

Why
wax?
Waxing keeps your skin hairless and smooth for longer than
other traditional methods. Waxing removes large areas of hair quickly, so it's
perfect for people on the go.
How long does a waxing session
take?
A session takes somewhere between fifteen minutes to an hour,
depending on the size of the area to be waxed.
How often do I
need to wax?
Waxing removes hair at the root, so results last as
long as it takes for new hair to grow. After your first session, this should
take about three to six weeks. Additional sessions can reduce the amount of hair
overall, giving you longer lasting results.
Will waxing cause
skin reactions?
Waxing can cause skin reactions, so you should test
a small area first. After treatment, avoid irritating the skin. Wearing
sunscreen is always recommended.
Who shouldn't wax?
Waxing shouldn't be done on unhealthy skin or over varicose
veins, moles or warts. You should avoid waxing if you are taking Accutane®,
Retin-A® or similar medications. Those prone to infection, such as those with
diabetes, may wish to seek alternatives to waxing.
