What is a HydraFacial Treatment?
The HydraFacial generally takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to perform. The procedure, which is suitable for all skin types, is performed in four steps:
- Cleansing and exfoliation: A small deplaning tool is used to open pores and sweep away the top layer of debris and dead skin cells. The sensation is similar to a spinning toothbrush moving over the face.
- Acid peel: A gentle glycolic and salicylic acid peel is applied. This peel creates only a slight tingling sensation – no stinging or burning – and delivers the benefits of a peel without the sloughing.
- Extraction: A vortex-extraction nozzle that acts as a vacuum is used to extract impurities from the pores with the aid of a special serum.
- Serum application: A vortex-infusion tool is used to infuse serum rich in antioxidants and collagen into the skin to promote elasticity and hydration and nourish and protect the skin.
How many HydraFacial treatments are needed to see results?
Many patients see more even, radiant skin tone and visible refinement of the skin after only one HydraFacial treatment. The skin hydration and smooth results of the treatment lasts for 7 days or longer.
