Jeuveau newtox orlandoJeuveau™ is a new injectable botulinum toxin referred to as Newtox.
It is an FDA approved treatment for frown lines and is available at Serrão Rejuvenation Center.  Jeuveau™ is a direct competitor to Botox® Cosmetic and we are proud to be one of the first providers in Orlando to offer this neuromodulator.

Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is the first neurotoxin devoted exclusively for cosmetic purposes. It is a direct competitor to Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. Jeuveau has been extensively tested by the FDA with similar side effects of Botox and is safe. The research has included safety tests and head-to-head comparisons with Botox Cosmetic.  Developed with Hi-Pure™ technology, Jeuveau is made through a modern manufacturing process utilizing a double filtration system, making it a purer toxin.  Dr. John Serrão is among the first to provide this new product for his patients.

What is Jeuveau?

Jeuveau (pronounced Jū vō) comes from the French word “nouveau,” which means “new” or “modern.”  Jeuveau is a newly FDA approved neurotoxin intended to reduce facial lines from chronic and repeated muscle contractions. It has been safely used in Asia for many years and is finally available in the US.  Millennials are now using neurotoxins like Botox or Jeuveau to prevent deep creases on the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet.

How Does Jeuveau Work?

Jeuveau relaxes your facial muscles and prevents them from contracting.  The result? In clinical trials, Jeuveau was shown to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines. In two long-term safety studies, patients received an average of three treatments over the course of one year.

How does Jeuveau compare to Botox?

In peer-reviewed published research studies, Jeuveau worked similarly to Botox, accomplishing similar amounts of muscle relaxation and line reduction.  Some patients felt that Jeuveau had a quicker onset and may last just a little longer than Botox.

Can I have Jeuveau if I have previously had Botox, Dysport or Xeomin?

Yes, if you have previously had Botox or another neurotoxin, you could have Jeuveau.

How long does Jeuveau last?

Jeuveau has a similar duration of action to Botox, averaging three to four months. Some patients have expressed that it actually lasts a bit longer than Botox.

What can I expect with Jeuveau injections and is there any downtime?

No, there is no downtime and the injections are done with needles the size of eyelashes making it very tolerable.  At Serrão Rejuvenation Center, we sometimes apply a topical anesthetic or use an ice roller to make the injections virtually painless.  Dr. Serrão has been performing Botox® injections since 1999 and is considered an expert with all fillers and neurotoxins.

You will be given instructions on what to do before and after your Jeuveau injection.
