What is Latisse?
Latisse is a prescription product that is proven to stimulate eyelash development in women. The active ingredient in Latisse® was first recognized as an eyelash enhancement treatment during clinical trials for eye conditions. Longer, fuller eyelashes was considered a side effect that has now been made available for women who want to replace their mascara, false eyelashes and eyelash extensions.
How Does Latisse Work?
The Latisse liquid comes in a tube with a special applicator. You put a very small amount of Latisse on the applicator and gently brush it across the base of your upper eyelashes. The liquid is distributed to your lower eyelashes as you sleep.
Over the coming weeks, you see a gradual change in your eyelashes. Full results take about 16 weeks, although this does vary. You will need to continue to use Latisse to keep your lashes long.
Do not share the applicator with anyone as this may spread infections. If you develop an eye infection, stop using Latisse®.
