What is a Non-Surgical Neck Lift?
A non-surgical neck lift can be accomplished in two ways:
- Submental liposuction to remove the fat
- Kybella® injections to gradually destroy the fat cells
Both of these options offer less downtime and post-procedure symptoms than a surgical neck lift. Submental liposuction requires small incisions and may be performed using local anesthesia. Kybella® requires no anesthesia or downtime.
How is a Non-Surgical Neck Lift Performed?
A neck lift that is performed with submental liposuction works by inserting a thin, flexible tube through very small incisions. The incisions are so tiny that no sutures are required. Kybella® is administered with a fine needle at several sites in the area between the bottom of the chin and the upper part of the neck.
How Long is the Recovery from a Non-Surgical Neck lift?
Having submental liposuction may require that you take up to one week off from your normal activities. Kybella® requires no downtime.
